About

Roll Call is co-curricular management software built by a small team. Schools have been using it since 2018.

We started building it while volunteering to run activities at our kids' school. Pretty quickly we ran into some problems: not knowing how many students to expect, no good way to tell parents when schedules changed, and kids having no idea what activities were even available to them.

The solutions we found just weren't up to scratch. Our school was using wikis that never got updated. Other options were clunky, over-engineered, or clearly not built by people who understand modern software. None of them fit our simple needs. So we built something ourselves.

It's simple because we built it for our own needs first, then kept refining it by working closely with schools. It's affordable because we're not trying to be an everything-platform — we just solve this one set of problems well. And it's reliable because we're software engineers who've brought proper SaaS practices to an area that doesn't always get that attention.
